I have always been a fan of the re-issued Legend Diver, tried it many times,....but had to conclude every time that it was not fitting my wrist well with these super-long lugs.
Then came a 36mm version which was simply too small for my liking.
But finally Longines issued the perfect version for me : the 39mm ...with no date !!
Here a few pictures of the watch:

The beads of rice bracelet fits the style of the watch very nicely and is comfortable to wear.
A nice tropic rubber could certainly be a good alternative.

Quite a few welcome changes vs. the 42mm version : brushed/polished case and much shorter lugs including a more wrist friendly shape.

The dramatically domed sapphire creates some nice reflections on the dial and I salute Longines for not using  faux-lumina on the dial.

Surprisingly strong lume with a nice color play.

Always good to see a well executed case back.

Longines really listened to the feedback of the customers and came out with the almost perfect watch : the reduced diameter,a more refined case,a nice bracelet,a strongly improved movement incl. COSC certification ...and no-date !!
Probably the only thing that I would have liked to see is a quick adjustment in the clasp.

Another proof that well executed and great quality watches can still be had for a relatively fair price.

Thanks for looking,
Gerard

Agree totally with the size issues of my bronze green dial version! 42 is now generally my case size limit but then you add those long lugs and sometimes I wish it was smaller.

Fortunately I won't be tempted to buy another watch because this one comes on a bracelet and has a blue dial plus no date (NOT!). I may have to find a new home for my bronze green (I like those two things) or contemplate owning two Legend Divers.
