Nilomis shares a deeply personal reflection on his Longines Legend Diver (LLD), intertwining its one-year anniversary with his 39th wedding anniversary. His post beautifully illustrates the emotional significance a watch can hold, not just as a timepiece, but as a companion through life's milestones and a source of enduring pleasure.

Team,

Yesterday we celebrated our wedding anniversary.

We got married very young and it was our 39th anniversary, believe it or not!

Today, recovering from the steak & wine "extravaganza", I notice that yesterday was also is my LLD anniversary.

To avoid having a "sad" and uncelebrated watch, here are some pictures and observations after one year owning a LLD.

1) It's a beautiful watch, no questions about.

2) Dresses very well, accepts any strap (I change a lot) and reflects light on a gorgeous way

3) Nothing to add, nothing to remove. Perfect.

4) Movement is a pedestrian ETA but, after a quick "tune up" it maintains +2 seconds/day. Outstanding by any measure.

When I got my first LLD, I was unsure if it was a "keeper" but after several cycles (this one is my #3) I'm sure that is a "forever" watch.

I like this watch so much that I believe that if another no-date pops-up ... I go to get it.

Cheers and a great week to all,

Nilo

Note: I had a LLD with the date (My #4). After months trying to love it ... I let it go on a trade. But it may return one day, who knows?

Nilo, you're da man when it comes to photographing the Lld ! Three LLD's ? I've been playing with the idea of buying a second one ... but my watch-collection (if you can call it like that) is far from exquisite :-( ... so i'm saving up for a Speedy .. so every week when i made enough to buy a Speedy there's always something else to pay for ... :-) ..... . A question btw : Is that the original strap ? The LLD also looks very handsome on all sorts of different straps ... . ... my humble contributi

Mr Bim, This is my #3 (the date one was the #4 - sold). #1 - I sold #2 - Robbed About straps, this one is a Seiko Nylon, that's I use during this terrible hot days of our late spring. The original strap does not lasts and I just got a new one that I'm maintaining on the original package. I have a large assortment of 22mm straps, most Panerai style that I swap from time to time and a nice military one. Someday I will take pics of all of my LLD straps. Cheers, Nilo
