Ano Nuevo's detailed review of the Longines Legend Diver in bronze with a green dial offers a timely look at a modern classic. His post, featuring personal observations and high-quality photography, highlights the watch's aesthetic appeal and a notable design oversight. This article synthesizes community reactions, providing a comprehensive perspective on a watch that continues to captivate collectors.

Just arrived yesterday, after a 3-month wait.

The bronze case has a great pinkish tone.  I wish it would never patinate!

Oh, that tall crystal!

I had wanted a bronze watch for awhile, and this seemed a good opportunity, since I like the Legend’s visual design.  The green dial is a gradient, dark even in sunlight, and quite subtle.  Very nicely done.
The dark brown leather strap complements the watch, and a green NATO strap and a spring bar tool are included, as well.
DISLIKE:  Longines, why didn’t you use quick-release pins on the spring bars?  Or even have small cutouts on the strap to give easy access to detach the spring bars?  You included TWO straps and a tool to change them, but you didn’t take the obvious steps to make strap changing easier.  This is 2021, not 1960, and I don’t understand why so few manufactures allow for easy strap changing.

But aside from that issue, the watch is a hit for me.

Longines has been killin’ it with its offerings. This one, though, is next level.

Odd, for some reason my photos have disappeared from my post. Well, I'll try again!

When I copy-and-paste photos, they appear properly in the message composition window, and when I first post the message. But then they subsequently disappear. Very odd. (I resort to that approach only when the photo uploader doesn’t work due to “Server timeout.” Cheers, A.N.

And I really like the medium-brown strap you chose for your Legend. Thanks for the nice comment!

Though I have had the same strap for many years but in 20mm. It’s the single favorite strap I’ve ever had, and I have had and have A LOT of straps
