Patrick_y's coverage of the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show highlights a pivotal moment for Lexus and Toyota, showcasing their shift towards more emotional and design-forward vehicles. This post captures the evolving automotive landscape, where Japanese manufacturers began challenging traditional perceptions of their designs. Readers can explore how these brands aimed to infuse their cars with character and soul, moving beyond purely functional aesthetics.

Lexus and Toyota have really stepped up their game.  No longer are they producing cars with boring designs, but cars with emotions and souls.  Germans are known to be stoic and serious people, but their cars are superlative and immensely rewarding to drive.  A lot of people are introduced to a country (if it's a car exporter), based on the cars the country produces.

Look at some of these emotional designs produced by these car companies.  And share with us your thoughts and comments.

That looks awesome, I want one!

That looks awesome, I want one!  But I hope they don't destroy the good looks of the concept in the actual production car.  That would be sad.  But the BMW i8 production car looks very similar to the concept, so I have high hopes!

That concept car does look awesome. And if they ever do produce that car as the future "Toyota SUPRA" model then I think it will sell well and perform well. Thanks for reading!
