Since I have it back home, I have a dilemma, and a pretty sweet one to have, I must admit. I finally found a new old stock dial. But... Is it worth mounting it on it, or is it better to find another DSA US, to mount it? As often, asking is answering. I put it aside, rather than installing it. Why? B

Why?

Because, as you will see below, my Deep Sea Alarm US, as it is, has a rather coherent patina.

Now, if I opt for installing it, I will have a mismatch in the patina between the dial and the alarm disc.

But the fact to have intact luminous indexes is pretty tempting!

What do you think?

Best,

Nicolas

That's a beautiful patina

I'd leave it as it is. Best, Martin

Leave it as it is

Why ? You already wrote the answer in your post. If you change it, i think you'll only notice this mismatch each time you look at your watch. About the intact luminous indexes. May i ask you a question. How many times will you enjoy the luminous indexes ? I guess you spend more time looking at it during day time than evening or night time. For this reason, i prefer a coherent patina rather than intact luminous indexes. But it's just my opinion. Enjoy this beauty and have a great weekend ! Fabio

There is a small issue, here. Most of the dials lost their luminous on the indices.

This one has it. Now, the mis match bothers me. Thanks for your feedback, Fabio. Much appreciated. Nicolas
