Hi All,

I've been eyeing Laurent Ferrier Classic Origin Blue for some time now, but haven't pulled the trigger just yet because I had other watches that I wanted to purchase first. I would like your honest opinion on the piece. I love the design, however I am not sure about the manual wind caliber being used. It looks very austere. Bear in mind that my Chopard LUC 1860, which I acquired recently, has set the bar very high when it comes to dress watches. Even though Chopard has an automatic caliber, I still think that LF could've done a better job with their caliber LF116.01, especially considering the retail price.

Would love to hear your view on it, especially from any owners of the watch.

Many thanks in advance,

Zeus

A piece I am seriously considering.

Now the question is the opaline or the blue?

Both are great,

but I would personally choose opaline.

I think I have the same preference...

One more for the opaline...

The blue is definitely eye-catching:

deep and warm. But it has a more pronounced presence and doesn't go with every outfit. So I'm afraid I'd end up finding it a bit too “cumbersome” (can’t find a better word). Whereas silver is supremely elegant and discreet.

I tend to agree, here.
