Amanico shares images of the A. Lange & Söhne Zeitwerk Minute Repeater, unveiled in 2015, inviting the community to discuss their impressions of this complex timepiece. The post highlights the author's personal preference for the movement's backside over the dial, despite acknowledging its originality.

Just two pictures of this Zeitwerk which was unveiled in 2015.

As always with the Zeitwerk, I find the backside more interesting than the dial side.

But I have to say that even if I admit it is an original watch, I am not a big fan of it.

What do you think?

Best,

Nicolas

It’s a family I wish to own in the ALS collection. I’m not a big fan of the price (especially this MR, lol) or size though but that’s because my wrist is smallish.

A creative complication that makes the watch look unlike anything else both front and back. The only issue I would have with the Zeitwerk is the size, if considering one for myself. But I think the dial side is great as well. From the videos I've seen of it, the hour changes are very satisfying when all three numeral discs change at once with a subtle click.

Definitely better suited as a special occasion watch than a daily. Plus it's very difficult to wind. I tried to make it a daily wearing watch and decided it was too difficult! Most buyers would be happy to have it as a special occasion piece. Definitely a super cool mechanism with an energy absorbing rotating regulator used to accelerate and brake the discs. Amazing technology.

IMHO Jumping Second, Lange1 Daymatic, Triple Split and Zeitwerk Lumen Date (202x release year) are my must have. But out of 4 , 3 is a must, zeitwerk is totally replaceable

I like the idea that it is a decimal repeater. Actually more straight forward to comprehend once you get used to the chiming method.

Had the chance to strap one on the wrist a few years ago at the last Paris GTG . Amazing watch
