Another watch that came and went.  This one I wore as a daily for a number of years.  Loved it, I still love it.  It’s one watch which I have sold that I would repurchase at some point.

The big date is something I really miss, I think the only watch I’ve ever said “I miss the date window” about.

Originally an older 911 (964) but that didn’t pan out for a few reasons, and so funds were ultimately used for my Journe CTS. Either one was the right “trade”, both in terms of future expectations / predictions and of course now in hindsight!

Clearly I am clueless in trading as I would never trade Dato for Journe CTS and then oops - CTS price is now 2x of Dato. I am totally puzzled...

…I prefer the Up/Down. I would generally opt for the smaller case of the original however for that particular watch I feel the roman numerals on the dial make the watch seem a little dated. I generally avoid roman numerals, but I do have the PLM which in that case even with the roman numerals looks more contemporary. Never say never though.

the CTS and the Dato is the correct answer. If you would like a date; The Dato is THE watch.

…as far as the raw fun factor is concerned. Sorry it didn’t work out. But the Journe sounds fun too
