I already posted these pictures in HOME forum but it is important to do it in the Lange Forum. My first appointment at the SIHH was dedicated to Lange. I will obviously come back with a detail report. But please enjoy the wristshots I took today. The key piece was the Richard Lange PC Terraluna: And

The A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Tourbillon, reference 730.078F, is a distinguished model within the 1815 collection, known for its focus on traditional watchmaking and classical aesthetics. This particular reference stands out for its combination of a tourbillon complication with a black enamel dial, a rare and highly regarded feature that enhances its visual depth and exclusivity. It represents a refined expression of high horology, emphasizing technical sophistication within a restrained design. The hacking seconds mechanism integrated into the tourbillon further underscores its precision engineering.
The watch is presented in a platinum case measuring 39.5mm in diameter and 11.3mm in thickness, offering a substantial yet wearable presence. It is equipped with the manual-wind caliber L102.1, which provides a power reserve of 72 hours. The movement is visible through a sapphire crystal exhibition caseback, allowing appreciation of its intricate finishing and the tourbillon in operation. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, and the watch offers a water resistance of 30 meters.
This reference appeals to collectors who value traditional German watchmaking and the technical artistry of a tourbillon, especially when paired with a handcrafted enamel dial. The black enamel dial variant is particularly sought after for its depth and luster, which are achieved through a meticulous firing process. It occupies a significant position within the 1815 series as a high-complication piece that maintains the collection's characteristic legibility and classical proportions.
The Richard Lange PC Terraluna has an amazingly beautiful back, very creative, different, really charming and enchanting, I really love that sky, the stars and the way the moon moves around the Earth and reveals itself in all its phases. Brilliant! Lange & Sohne at its best. On the other hand, I am not that impressed nor captivated by the front side which I find far too busy and lucking of refinement in my view. Very...show offish! This is just my point of view of course;) Cheers FX, enjoy t
As usual, your photos are fantastic! Love all of them. Makes me less upset I couldn't make it to SIHH since I can see these wonder pictures from you. :) The Richard Lange PC Terraluna is indeed a very special watch but I have to see it in the metal for the dial design. I was more excited about the new 1815 38.5mm but am not sure about the sub-dial cutting the "6". but it seems all the 1816 with seconds sub-dial do the same, from your 36mm version. Looking forward to seeing the Lange novelties in
...I found the latest Richard Lange PC Terraluna did not attract me at the first glance due to too-complicated dial... in turn, 1815 and first generation Richard Lange are more eye-catching.
QUESTION: Can you say more about the tourbillon on the 1815 Tourbillon being "too obvious"? Do you mean that the tourbillon aperture is too large? COMMENT: Your photo of the new 1815 next to your old 1815 was VERY helpful! I'm sure I'm not the only longtime Lange enthusiast who had that very same curiosity about what the original 1815 looked like next to the new "downsized" (after being "supersized") 1815. It's interesting that the "6" on the new 1815 is completely decapitated, whereas the subse
As always, it is very helpful to have the actual wrist shots! Terraluna - umnnnn.... Too bad as it is too big... Not sure until I see it in the fresh. 1815 Tourbillon - I concur.... A bit "turn-off" as to "why put tourbillon on the "original" dial 1815 now?" A bit too big tourbillon "hole" and for now, from the photos, I am not too excited..... If I go to this type (tourbillon on 6h on the dial), I would still go to the original PLM..... Is it only me? Thank you again, Fx! Ken
Looks great on the wrist. Thanks for sharing!
