Emmanuel, known as quattro on WatchProSite, presents a detailed look at the A. Lange & Söhne Richard Lange ReferenzUhr. This article highlights the unique zero-reset mechanism of this limited-edition timepiece, offering a deep dive into its design and technical specifications. Emmanuel's comprehensive overview serves as an invaluable resource for collectors seeking to understand the intricacies of this rarely seen Lange reference.

The A. Lange & Söhne Richard Lange ReferenzUhr, reference 250.032, was introduced in 2010 as a limited edition of 75 pieces in pink gold. It belongs to the Richard Lange collection, which emphasizes precision timekeeping and legibility, drawing inspiration from historical scientific observation watches. This specific model stands out for its unique synchronization complication.
The timepiece features a 40.5mm pink gold case with a thickness of 11.2mm. It houses the manually wound L033.1 caliber, which incorporates a zero-reset mechanism for the seconds hand, activated by a pusher at 2 o'clock. This allows for precise synchronization with a reference time signal. The dial displays subsidiary seconds and a power reserve indicator, maintaining a classic and functional aesthetic.
For collectors, the ReferenzUhr represents a distinctive offering within A. Lange & Söhne's modern production, combining traditional watchmaking with a practical, albeit uncommon, complication. Its limited production numbers and the technical sophistication of the zero-reset function contribute to its appeal and rarity in the secondary market.
Usually prefer white metal, but here actually the red gold version.
Have the same in the Chopard LUC Chrono One, where when the crown is out for setting the chrono reset button gets the running seconds to zero.
Think I like it in plat here, quattro.
but as often, the rose gold is warmer. Best, Emmanuel
And good looking Chrono One!
This was one of those Lange I looked at for some time. While rare, they used to pop up every now and then for sale and offered something a little different. Owning one Richard Lange, I do find the case just a tad big for my wrist. Manageable, but not perfect.
