AnthonyTsai reports on A. Lange & Söhne's "Never Stand Still" tour, an international roadshow presenting their 2012 novelties. This initiative underscores the brand's commitment to continuous development and direct engagement with collectors and partners worldwide, featuring the LANGE 1 TOURBILLON PERPETUAL CALENDAR.

It is part of the tradition of the Saxon Manufaktur Lange to never stand still. That's how it should be with a good watch. The A. Lange & Söhne novelties of 2012 uphold the brand's aim to develop itself and its products unceasingly.

With a "Never Stand Still Tour", an international road-show, A. Lange & Söhne will present its current watch collection in more than 60 cities around the world between September and December 2012. In each city, invited Lange owners and partners will have the opportunity of seeing the entire new collection that had its premiere in January at the Geneva watch fair. Beyond these, for the first time, is also the brand's top-of-the line model, the LANGE 1 TOURBILLON PERPETUAL CALENDAR. This watch represents the continuous quest for perfection that distinguishes the brand and makes its timepieces outstanding references to the Saxon art of watchmaking. "It is very important to us to develop our relationship with A. Lange & Söhne collectors in depth, and to continue building on our many years of successful collaboration with our retailers. Only those who are in close touch with the market and who listen to their customers will be able to set the points right for the future," says Lange CEO Wilhelm Schmid, clarifying the significance of the company's programme of events.

The LANGE 1 TOURBILLON PERPETUAL CALENDAR will travel on a special road-show around the globe.

An accompanying exhibition goes back to the brand's roots in the Saxon region and provides an insight into the development of craftsmanship that the Saxons had already cultivated to the highest levels by the Middle Ages. In the Baroque period, under their art-loving ruler, Augustus the Strong, they took their crafts to cultural heights that made the country famous throughout Europe.

About A. Lange & Söhne

With the establishment of his manufactory in 1845, the Dresden watchmaker Ferdinand A. Lange laid the foundation for Saxony's precision watchmaking industry. His precious pocket watches remain highly coveted among collectors all over the world. After the comeback in 1990 by his great-grand son Walter Lange, Lange crafts today only a few thousand wristwatches in gold or platinum per year. They are endowed exclusively with proprietary movements that are lavishly decorated and assembled by hand. In a period of little more than 20 years, A. Lange & Söhne developed more than 40 manufacture calibres and secured a top-tier position among the world's finest watch brands. Its biggest successes include innovative timekeeping instruments like the LANGE 1 with the first outsize date in a regularly produced wristwatch as well as the LANGE ZEITWERK with its perfectly legible, precisely jumping numerals: both have become icons of the venerable brand.
