blomman Mr Blue shares his impressions of the A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1 Moon Phase in Pink Gold, focusing on its visual appeal and intricate details. His post highlights the watch's distinctive dial and movement, offering a collector's perspective on this significant reference. This article provides a close look at a beloved Lange 1 variant.
Friends,
A watch I had the pleasure to see in the metal, or should I say in the “silver”?!
The A. Lange & Shöne, Lange 1 Moon Phase in Pink Gold.
The hue from the (solid) silver dial is something I find absolutely stunning!
Great contrast to the Pink Gold case and other Pink Gold details.
A timeless beauty, hard to believe it’s celebrating 15 years this year!
Even if asymmetric dial design, the watch feels very balanced.
One detail that I think is a real killer here is the Moon with the star sprinkled sky.
One detail I am less enthusiastic about is the big frame between the date numerals, but I guess it helps keeping the balance of the dial.
As said, the hue of silver… German silver.
The movement is another part of this watch which is a pure joy to see!
The solid main plate covering up all except the balance wheel with famous swan neck.
But even if solid main plate, the way of execution is far from boring.
Geneva bars, heated blue screws and the way each ruby has been secured with the blue screws…
Far from boring, IMO!

Reference 192.032
The A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1 reference 192.032 represents a significant iteration within the brand's foundational collection, distinguished by its specific material and dial configuration. This reference maintains the characteristic off-center dial layout, oversized date display, and power reserve indicator that define the Lange 1 family, offering a classic interpretation that appeals to collectors seeking the core design principles of the Glashütte manufacture.
This particular reference features an 18k pink gold case, measuring 38.5mm in diameter. It houses the manually wound Lange manufacture caliber L901.0, known for its twin mainspring barrels providing a substantial power reserve of 72 hours. The movement is visible through a sapphire crystal case back, showcasing traditional German watchmaking finishes such as Glashütte ribbing, blued screws, and hand-engraved balance cock. The front crystal is also sapphire.
As a pink gold variant, the 192.032 offers a warmer aesthetic compared to its platinum or yellow gold counterparts, making it a desirable choice for collectors who appreciate this specific metal. Its enduring design and mechanical integrity ensure its place as a cornerstone reference within the broader Lange 1 collection, appealing to those who value traditional watchmaking and a distinctive, asymmetrical dial architecture.
.......are you considering one? Yes, very far from boring.
Which I will share soon... But truth to be told, I am on a strict diet to achive my next goal... Best Blomman
Best wishes Alkiro
Would you mind saying?

Both stunning, but my personal preference is towards the Lange 1 Moon... Best Blomman
