As you all guessed... I could not resist my inner urge to own such an iconic chronograph so I took the plunge. The AD also gave me a very sweet deal. Since I was travelling internationally, I recorded down their wire information and sent an electronic payment on the same day.

The next day, the Lange sales associate called and mentioned that they did indeed receive the wire; however, the funds were not meant to be sent to that account and the transaction had to be reversed. What??? I only had three nights left before flying back to Vancouver and wasn't sure if I had enough time to receive the funds back in my account and send a new wire. The sales associate apologized profusely and said it's their first time dealing with an international wire and even if I decided not to purchase the watch, they would pay for the wire/reversal transaction fees. They also gave me a nice bottle of Verve Clicquot champagne. I told them I will wait for the funds to be back in my account then contact them.

One day passed, nothing...

Two days passed, still nothing...

Since this was not a small amount of money, I had no choice but to extend my stay (hotel + change return flight) until everything was settled. I told the AD about this and they felt sorry.

Finally on Tuesday (Monday in Vancouver), the funds were posted in my account! I called the AD to notify them about this and said I still intend on purchasing the watch. The sales associate again apologized and thanked me for my patience and understanding through all of this. Due to the inconvenience, they gave me an even better deal on the watch and I could not believe the end price! So I went ahead and sent the wire, and they received it the next day.

When I went to pick up the watch, I was greeted by the manager who was very apologetic and said he brought up this situation to Richemont Asia. Then they gave me this gift: an A. Lange & Sohne briefcase!

This is so cool! Then the piece I was super patient for:

Although there was a mistake made by the AD which caused inconvenience, their service and courteousness was top-notch. It also resulted in an even better deal on the watch and an awesome gift. I definitely can't complain! Thank you AD, Lange and Richemont Asia!
