Fernando initiates a community-wide showcase of A. Lange & Söhne watches, seeking to quench his 'Lange fix' after a period of wearing more casual pieces. His call to action invites fellow collectors to share their special Lange pieces, whether limited editions, rarely seen models, or watches with personal significance, creating a vibrant visual and anecdotal tapestry of Lange ownership.

After a brief spell with beaters, bracelet & rubber strap watches, mainly as a result of the

hot and humid climate, a thirst has to be quenched with the finer things in life. What is better than to re-visit the house of ALS.

Like a junkie, I’m in need of a fix after a few months of deprivation. Going to the Lange boutique (which could be painful) or meeting up with friends who are also Lange lovers, can provide a bit of relief.

But of course, nothing beats the sensation of acquiring a new piece; the adrenaline rush for me is like blasting off in a space shuttle;(maybe a slight exaggeration here.smile) Until that day comes (and I can almost predict it will), I’m hoping forum members here will humor me and provide some sustenance to tied me over.

So if you have a special ALS piece, whether it’s a limited edition, rarely seen model or one that has a special meaning for you, please share it with us here.

Thank you for your indulgence and hopefully your participation as well.

To kick the ball off, here’s my only non-regular production Moonphase (an old pic. Instead of improving, my photography seems to deteriorate with time. Could be in need of a new camera?) smile  :

Best Regards,

Fernando

About the A. Lange and Söhne Emil Lange Ref. 1815

The A. Lange & Söhne 1815 reference 206.032, introduced in 1999, is a notable example of the brand's commitment to traditional watchmaking principles. This model is part of the 1815 collection, which pays homage to the birth year of Ferdinand Adolph Lange and emphasizes classic design elements such as Arabic numerals and blued hands, drawing inspiration from historical Lange pocket watches. It represents a more understated and purist aesthetic compared to some of the brand's more complex offerings, focusing on fundamental horological excellence.

This particular reference features an 18k rose gold case measuring 36mm in diameter and 7.5mm in thickness. It houses the manually wound L941.1 caliber, visible through a sapphire crystal case back. The movement provides a power reserve of 45 hours. The watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal on the front, protecting a solid silver dial. Water resistance is rated at 30 meters, suitable for everyday wear but not for immersion.

The 1815 206.032 appeals to collectors who appreciate classical proportions and a focus on fundamental watchmaking without excessive complications. Its smaller case size reflects a more traditional approach to men's wristwatches, making it a desirable piece for those seeking a discreet yet highly refined timepiece. The combination of rose gold and a silver dial offers a warm and legible presentation, consistent with the collection's historical inspirations.

I love the layout of the 1815. Here is my one and only Lange (for now) recently acquired. I am absolutely in love with the brand.

Sadly, the only Lange which remains in my collection, but I do hope it won't stay alone too long... http://img837.imageshack.us/img837/368/y70141.jpg Best, Nicolas
