Clueless_Collector's reflection on his A. Lange & Söhne collection offers a candid look into the joys and dilemmas of high-end watch collecting, particularly the balance between acquisition and consolidation. His post, showcasing nine Langes acquired over four years, resonates with collectors who grapple with the 'never-ending' nature of the hobby and the pursuit of horological grails.
Many times I wonder why we collect these and do we really need many and how many is too many?
Then when I put them together, that “ah-ha” moment of sweetness came and now I can see the happiness why I’m into this.
We all know this is a never ending or very difficult to stop hobby and at some point of time, it’s consolidating or swapping due to change of taste or interest.
Worst case is with the scary story of not able to wear your beloved watches abroad due to crime concerns or unnecessary taxes by customs. That really make me thinking do I need many watches just to rotate them here at hometown?
Regardless, we all have our own way of life and I’m glad to be where I am.
Hopefully someday I will be able to add a RL or ZW (still size concerns) and a perpetual calendar, grail to be Tourbillons or MR if I hit MegaMillions or Powerball, lol...
I may be clueless in collecting directions and this crazy world of collecting nowadays but I know just exactly what I want

2019 has been a great year for me to add 5 Langes which sums up to 9 in 4 years.
I wish all members have the same great year and we all have a wonderful 2020 and beyond.
Happy Friday and HAGWE
