Clueless_Collector celebrates the arrival of his highly anticipated A. Lange & Söhne 1815 'Homage to Walter Lange' in yellow gold, sharing his excitement and detailed photographs. His post highlights the profound emotional connection collectors form with watches that carry significant historical and personal meaning, particularly those honoring horological figures. This piece offers a glimpse into the joy of acquiring a special edition timepiece and the community's appreciation for its craftsmanship.

My favorite thing about this piece is the rich history it represents in honor of a great man, and the subtle way this was communicated without the need for an engraving or explicit marking. I far prefer this approach to the engraved caseback seen in this years Lange 1 anniversary pieces.
It is also a sentimental watch after seeing how the brand decided to honor the man. The videos explaining how Mr Walter Lange relentlessly asking for this piece but didn’t get to see it is very touching. Thank you.
It was released in Dec 2017...and I wait since then.
Now for some wristshots please! Cheers, Filip
the choice of gold is very fitting to Walter Lange. Gorgeous detail movement
Walter Lange wears yellow gold, so that’s my choice for this watch too 👍🏻
