KIH's post beautifully captures the enduring appeal of traditional watch design by comparing the A. Lange & Söhne Richard Lange Pour le Mérite with the Roger Dubuis Hommage Condottieri. This side-by-side presentation, featuring enamel/porcelain dials, blued hands, and Roman numerals, invites readers to appreciate the timeless aesthetics that continue to captivate collectors, even a decade after its original publication.

Very close looking watches, here... With a big preference for the Lange RL PLM, and not for some snobbism reasons, but the warm enamel dial, the fine case and the awesome movement are superior to the Roger Dubuis... I guess that the retail is bigger, too. Agreed, with an Anniversary, that would have been even nicer! Best, Nicolas.
... something about RL PLM bothers me.. Maybe a bit too bulky, too thick for my taste? Don't know. Sure, the enamel thing and the super advanced movement are big plus, but I may still prefer RD... If RL PLM were 2mm smaller, then.... who knows? Bottom line - they are both very attractive watches, regardless of the retail price. RD is, if my memory serves me right, more than 15 years old. But jamon Iberico or iberian pig were great Ken
Just like me. I hear you on the RL PLM, but you're biased, since you own the Anniversary, smaller, and thinner. As for the jamon iberico, I guess you're speaking about " Pata Negra ", one of the finest, if not THE finest Crude Ham in the world. Pleasures of Life... Best, Ken. Nicolas.
is the real deal, the real MCKoy, the top banana, ... you know what I mean . And yes: what a lovely annual / perpetual ( ;-) ) calendar the Saxonia is. A pitty, that it looks, in terms of mood, quite close to the hommage 1815 mp: a very romantic, noble watch! But still, if I would like to get a calender this one would be a very stark contender to, possibly a winner over Patek's calendars. Regards Moritz
And so is the food spread ;p
Thanks for sharing this Ken. Cheers, GG
