After Georg, Hektor, here comes Friedrich III.
A simple 3 hand watch with a very detailed and carefully crafted manual movement.
Would like to add that the AR coating done by L&H is super effective.

The pinnacle of German watchmaking, a brand that puts Lange to shame as far as finding goes.

I played with a couple of them at the AD not long ago, and I was impressed by how solid the movement feels in contrary to the bare minimum looks. Very nice feel when winding. I would love to see them making something more complicated… Congratulations to the III-rd.🥂

Would deadbeat second remontoires qualify as more complicated, because they used to make them.

But you make a great point. Pre-ML-exit L&H was a formidable manufacture

Yes absolutely that counts.

They also had a unique programmable calendar with birthdays, a true gem, however the case was a bit too big, I believe 44mm but I could be wrong. I like the fact that they decreased the case sizes as of late. Big kudos to that! Also, due to this classic design language they have I think the brand can acomodate a perpetual calendar, a repeater, or something of sorts… Big love for L&H.

They still have a couple of models in 44 mm housing the calibre I and should be able to house more complicated movements.

The Friedrich II and III are 39.2mm with tapered lugs so the fitting is great.

A remontoire for the Friedrich III is on the way but should be a limited run.

Thank you....

Yes, when one takes a closer look, you will notice the high level of polishing, bevelling, and frosting (instead of stripes), and the beautiful hand engraved characters at the back. I need to take a better pix of the back....the blue screws all look like black in the pix😅
