Fitting for the event!
Is the dial cloisonnee enamel or is it something else?
but a great detail. Good eyes!
That little mechanism is an adjustable cam, the 'heart' of this watch's unique complication. Adjusting the cam allows the sunrise/sunset indicator to be accurate at different locations around the world. One must take the caseback off to adjust it (and I'm sure Krayon would rather you send it to them to do it), but it is nonethless adjustable. Jack Forster has a nice piece which goes into some detail about the mechanism and the watch in general: www.hodinkee.com
Thanks for letting me know
curious to see what the price will be!
