KMII's post marks a significant personal milestone, celebrating 20,000 posts on WatchProSite and nearly four years as an active member. This reflection offers a heartfelt look at the watches that shaped his journey, from his initial quest for a chronograph to his role as a Montblanc moderator. It underscores the profound impact of community and shared passion on a collector's path.

It would have been the 4th anniversary of my time here on the 28th of May but it appears I have reached the round posting number a bit prior to that.

So what to say? At this post count one could safely say that Puristspro has become my second home. smile

The start was innocent enough - I asked for advice on what chronograph to get. Little did I know of the Vlad concept back then but even if I have not gotten any of the alternatives then on the shortlist (AP, Breguet,GO, VC) I have not regretted following the advice for a second - and the Chopard LUC Chrono One is as enjoyable to me now as it was back then smile

The second stage for me here was the discovery of Grand Seiko. Mike, Ken and many others are to be thanked and while the SBGH035 has not been my first GS, it’s been the one I lusted after the most and one I still love with the same intensity as on the first day, just like the Chrono One.

I will not go through the many watches acquired over the years but the role of Montblanc moderator does bring me to one I feel deserves special mention - my Minerva Pythagore A481. A great example of our community, too - the Purist who took great care of it prior to me went quite a bit out of his way to ensure I had it on the day I became moderator. smile

Last but by no means least, most of us have had some sort of watch history prior to Puristspro. For me that is best represented by my Breitling Aerospace - which I have gotten as a graduation present from my parents. Maybe not the most horologically significant but certainly so on a personal level. It has sparked the kindling that would start burning intensely many years after wink Who knows what would have happened without it...

Finally I would never have spent nearly as much time here or gotten so deeply into this without the encouragement, friendship and support here, from moderators and members alike. Whether in our daily exchanges here or the many meetings and GTGs over the years. While my bank manager is horrified and my wife occasionally sceptical I am intensely grateful to all of you smile

Thank you!
