Heartbreaker recounts an unforgettable evening at the PuristS Welcome Get-Together Dinner in Geneva, where he had the rare opportunity to meet independent watchmaker Kari Voutilainen. Genève, 7th October, some PuristS are rapidly reaching the restaurant for the Independent PuristS Welcome Get-Together Dinner, the very first date of the PoT, under a fresh and light shower. A man crosses the street: <>. Someone says hallo to him and - SURPRISE!!! - he enters our Restaurant.

Yes, I had dinner a few meters to Kari: how an incredible start for this PoT! :-D I hadn't the opportunity to talk with him, but I could handle what he had with him, and I'd like to share some pictures with you. My impression were well defined: those watches loudly speak of passion for details and let us dream about perfection in watches. To be the truth, we've also saw something special, but I think that its future owner would like me not to show the pictures I've taken...

After the [excellent] dinner and a very pleasant cocktail, it was time to go to bed. Fortunately, it was easy to fall asleep: this enigmatic phrase on my chamber's wall was perfect for it! ;-)

That I haven't fallen in love with... Every single piece I have seen is a beautifully executed design.... The first and second pieces you have shown are very different, and yet both have his signature look.... Classic and contemporary

Thank you for sharing pictures of your fortunate encounter with Kari Voutilainen and a few of his watches. They all look absolutely superb. I also love that bespoke grey dialed Vingt-8 with gold appliqués numerals. Congratulation to their lucky future owners.

Thanks Elio for reminding me of such a good night, I am not sure why I look serious in all your pictures... must have been some difficult decisions being made that evening! I am so glad that Kari could accept my invite to come down and I am sorry you did not have a chance to chat with him during the evening, it was a little difficult with the table configuration so that we could not move around like the JC dinner the next night. At least you got to enjoy his beautiful timepieces and see some oth
