blomman Mr Blue, a self-proclaimed vintage enthusiast, challenges the community to explore modern Jaeger-LeCoultre 'Tribute To' (TT) models and Memovox re-editions. He prompts collectors to consider how these contemporary interpretations of historical designs fit into their collections and the broader horological landscape. This initiative encourages a discussion on the evolving definition of vintage taste in modern watchmaking.
Hello JLC-fans,
Most of you might think of me as a hard-core vintage nut...
Well, I am!
But, when I look into my watch box, I do see some modern watches as well.
One thing I find interesting is that of the few JLC watches I have bought new from AD since 2009, all of them are either a TT version of a vintage watch or a Memovox…
That I follow the Memovox line even in modern time may not be such a big surprise here…
If you look closer you will realize that most of the Memovox models released posts 1995 are all a TT-version or Homage to a vintage Memovox.
My conclusion is that my taste really is in the past…!
Maybe it’s time for a TT Roll Call…?
What better timing than while we wait for more good news from SIHH…?
So, from tomorrow I plan to have a “Tribute To Week”, starting with the JLC version of Tribute To Deep Sea Alarm!
Please feel free to join in!

Best
Blomman
