I am SERIOUSLY losing confidence in the decision making of JLC, especially those responsible for the direction of the brand !!
JLC should have presented something special and groundbreaking like what FPJ has provided or PP- I know they are capable of doing so. Only Watch is an accurate read of the market mood and they should have put in some actual effort to serve the brand better instead of just slapping on a new dial.
now that would be worth while and give JLC some recognition that it truly deserves. Sorry but this MUT Perpetual was nothing but a let down in EVERY sense of the word, especially since it was for charity :-(
I think this outcome HURTS the image of JLC and could have negative effects in the future. The ONLY watch auction usually SHOWCASES the prowess of a watch manufacturer and they usually have very cool and unique pieces. Simply changing a dial on an already existing watch is POOR form at best and show ZERO effort IMHO. JLC was my favorite brand for ages, but I feel they are lost in their designs, collection and customer service (which I can expound on in private). Perhaps this is a consequence of the “Richemontification” of the brand. This is the brand that ignited my love for Swiss watches, but I don’t know what they stand for any more. I’m still on my Apple Watch trip for several months now and feel sad that I don’t feel the same love for Swiss watchmaking as I once did especially at the current price points
