In 2016, Jaeger Lecoultre unveils a new iteration, without perpetual calendar.

The dial is less busy, logically, cleaner, maybe, even if I didn't have any problem with it.

It keeps the cylindrical balance spring of the former version, the indices of the " Jubilé " from 2013, and the grained white dial, too.

Clean, serious, understated.

The case is 42 mm big, quite classy. Much nicer and elegant than the first MGT cases from 2009, in my opinion, with a slender profile.

The movement is the Cal 995, an evolution of the Cal 985, but with less components ( 275 instead of 431 ), which is logical, since the Cal 995 doesn't have the perpetual calendar.

Best,

Nicolas

Love it!

As a rule I don't really like calendar watches, so it's great to see this version with the grained dial and blued cylindrical balance spring that I really like. My only concern is the size...42mm might wear quite large with such a clean dial. Would have been even better at 40mm IMO! Thanks for sharing! Cheers, Brandon

My pleasure, Brandon. What I saw in the real is...

A quite well proportioned case, not too thick nor too thin for the size. Thinner, yes, it would be problematic, but as it is, no, it looks consistant. Best, Nicolas

And this, has a rotor I wished appear on the True Seconds

More coherent finishing IMO (but with the tremblage-ish finish which would definitely take more time and effort to make), although this time maybe the JL logo in the middle is a little too rounded without a firm definition? ...but I digress. Looks like an interesting (thicker) alternative to the MUT Tourbillon as a time-only dial. A grainy dial with the printed indices (I assume, similar to the Duometre?) is interesting to view up close Regards, skyeriding

The printed indices came with the 2013 collection. The grained dial with the Duometre. [nt]

I like it!

The dial is amazing, the tourbillon is eye-catching. I have only one question, why JLC doesn't use a micro rotor? Regards, Constantin

That would be great!

Those who much prefer manual winding movements and those who only swear by automatic movements. Not at the program in a very close future, I can tell you, but why not in a longer distance? Best, Nicolas
