JLC Mil-Trio: Mark VII, Weems, and IWC Mark XI

Hello Team,
- welcome here again now after the weekend has passed, and you'll
maybe and hopefully so, might have a final look into my little JLC tuned Mil - Trilogy..

On the last two days we first had been dealing with the Mark VII/ WWW- MOD version,
and yesterday, with the Mark VII/ Weems;

- Once more a quick pic of this not big, but very pronounced piece, with a very
specific Military history, being a typical JLC pilot's watch, which in fact is rather
rare, as only 1000 were produced. ( Sources: Zaf Basha's book, Nicolas ' review from '09.

It is of note, that the British version comes without signature on the dial, vs the US version with LeCoultre.

Hence, for today and for the start into the new week, there it is now the third & final
of my Mil- Trio's turn - the Mark XI. But, as mentioned, mine is no JLC but is by IWC :
- Having said so, first recap the most important points & aspect of the JLC Mark XI version.

As for a profound review in greater deatail, there is again one by Nicolas,
of this 3rd watch now, the Mark XI, as mentioned :
- with perfect pictures of 2 versions : both the British Royal Air Force version (RAF)
as well of the Royal Australian Air Force ( RAAF).

It is good to know some of the features : really nice movement, with hacking second
furthermore a dust cover for protection; then a more domed plexi for the RAF,
whereas a chimney- shaped for the RAAF, just to name the most important.

Well.. the IWC one, is very coherent to the Military specs, as they had to be met,
and as such, the dial is identical, case with minor differences.
- The clearly readable dial has the very same appearance: regarding the hands,
( rectangular for hours, pointing index for minutes) luminous tritium indices. 3,6,9,12 + triangle @ 12

The case is a tad less sturdy for the IWC and does have a small bezel, but
drilled lugs; the watch in my version from 1952 . - The face for both brands, JLC & IWC,
nice in an identical way : same for the engravings :
we find the descriptors of the army, for British 6B/ 159
and below the broad arrow, then the piece number, and lastly the year.

Anyway, I consider this a good start into the new week..

PS:
