I like this next photo as I think it really shows the depth and texture of the dials.

Now for some wrist shots

And just got this strap from ABP in Paris. It is a bespoke special tanning blue nubuck alligator with large square scales with a small scale alligator lining. I think it looks great as it contains many different tones and hues of blue which corresponds with how the metallic blue hands change color with different lighting conditions. The strap is new and still a bit stiff but once it breaks in it I think it will be a permanent fixture for this Duometre.

First things first. Congratulations on this superb trio, my friend. Each of them has something very special.

Your version of the Zeitwerk is my favorite, too, with its white gold case / black dial. Now, as for the strap on your Duometre, bravo! It is something I should consider for mine, but in another color. Very well chosen! All the best, Bruce. Nicolas

Thanks Nico...ABP is really the best...

I have many different bespoke straps from them for different watches and each and every one looks fabulous with a personal touch due to the strap. I highly recommend them. On another note, as much as I really like my Zeitwerk I am VERY tempted by the Decimal Strike or the Minute Repeater although the MR is substancially more so I am leaning more towards the JLC MMR at this point. If I get the JLC MMR I will keep my Zeitwerk but if I get a Zeitwerk Decimal Strike ou MR I might have to move this s

If the sound is the most important criterion, then go for the Master Minute Repeater. [nt]

I am looking forward to our meeting so I can hear your MMR and hopefully be able to compare it to the Zeitwerk MR if possible :-)

from what I have read and listened to online and in videos, the JLC MMR seems to produce a louder and crisp sound but the tone and musicality of the Zeitwerk MR seems to be slightly better. I also like the implimentation of the Zeitwerk MR as it sounds the hours, 10s of minutes, and single minutes. It just seems MORE logical and easier to understand the time without having to do calculations in your head.

You will listen to the MMR. It is quite surprising in the real... [nt]
