Here on the rubber strap, which I almost never wear...worked well on this trip between excursions and gym time. Cheers from Alaska, John

This may be the first time I am freezing with pleasure. ;) [nt]

Not too cold...when the boat is moving at full-clip, yes, but otherwise fairly mild.

It is summer, after all. It was 80 degrees F and sunny last week (not our week, unfortunately), in Juneau.

Thanks, John. I was thinking much colder, from your pictures. [nt]

Amazing that the glaciers stay so intact all summer long. [nt]

We took a cruise up to Alaska in July

A decade ago - it looked just like this. We froze our arses off - never got near the pool. Luckily a shop had Scottish wool sweaters and we could buy some to keep warm. We’re planning a return visit this August - about 5 weeks from now. Can you ask them to leave the heat on for us? Cheers, Cazalea

There are hearty kids in the pool. Hard to believe.

If they're like many kids they'll go from not-cold, to artic-level core temperature and bawling from one moment to the next. August should be good. July and August are the best, I've heard. Are you doing the typical Inside Passage?
