Baron - Mr Red shares a personal tribute to Jaeger-LeCoultre, detailing his deep affection for the brand through a week-long showcase of his diverse collection. This post highlights the sentimental value and historical significance JLC holds for him, from inherited pieces to recent acquisitions, offering a unique collector's perspective.

Three brands stand out for me, on a personal basis. Family history, aesthetics, fascination and just pure affection for a manufacture have determined this. And yes, as a Rolex mod, it is not a surprise that I own more Rolex than any other make. However, a very clear second place comes to JLC in terms of numbers. In fact, I was very surprised at how many JLC i had managed to accumulate over the years....from inheriting my father's JLC back in 1979 all the way to the very last two purchases I made this year...the Rouge Reverso and Amvox 1....yep.....JLC isn't a long way behind Rolex for me.

And, as a tribute to my affection for this fabulous manufacture, I am going to wear JLC throughout the week...starting today and Monday with the Navy Seal.... a watch I purchased last year and have used extensively. So...starting off my week of JLC with this highly distinctive tool watch....picture taken today amidst the autumn sun of the UK....

and definitely in my top 5. Here's a shot with my 2 JLC alarm watches...a 1959 tribute and a 2009 version. 50 years apart in design but you can still it retains its DNA. My wife loves wearing my Deep Sea by the way :) My other JLC pair...2 ultra thin watches to commemorate the birth of my 2 kids. The TT 1931 Reverso for my son born in 2011, and the MUT 38 for my daughter born this year.
