Nicolas (amanico) introduces the Jaeger-LeCoultre Amvox 5, a new addition to the Amvox family unveiled at SIHH. This post details the watch's specifications, including its ceramic and titanium or rose gold case options, and its Caliber 752 movement combining chronograph and world time complications. Nicolas provides initial impressions and high-quality images, inviting community discussion on this significant release.

After the Amvox I, II and III, here comes the Amvox ... V!

Revealed at the last SIHH, we had to wait a bit before posting any pictures and informations on this new member of the Amvox Family.

It will be released in a Ceramic / Titanium case ( Limited Edition of 300 pieces ), or Ceramic / Rose Gold Case ( Limited Edition of 200 pieces ).

As you can see, the Amvox V movement ( Cal 752, which is the same than in the Extrem World Compressor ) associates 2 complications, the Chronograph, and the World Time, which is, in my opinion, a superb combination.

You will also be familiar with the design of the dial, which is very close to the Amvox II DBS, with the center part of the dial which is open, letting see some elements of the movement, as shown on the picture below:

The size too, is common to what we're used to see on an Amvox watch, with a 44mm case.

At is an Amvox, it has to be customized... You will notice the name of Gaydon, the Aston Martin HQ, instead of London.

Here are the first pictures I was able to quickly take in Geneva.

First, the Ceramic / Rose Gold:

Then, the Ceramic / Titanium.

Thoughts, anybody?

Best,

Nicolas

About the Jaeger LeCoultre Amvox2 Ref. AMVOX2

The Amvox2 represents Jaeger LeCoultre's approach to contemporary sports timing, offered here in the Steel Black series configuration. This 44mm reference positions itself as a substantial automatic chronograph within the Amvox2 collection, distinguished by its monochromatic steel and black dial treatment.

The 44mm steel case houses an automatic movement and features a black dial beneath sapphire crystal protection. Water resistance extends to 100 meters, while a fixed bezel completes the case architecture. The steel construction and automatic movement provide the mechanical foundation for this chronograph reference.

This Steel Black series Amvox2 appeals to collectors seeking a modern Jaeger LeCoultre sports chronograph with substantial wrist presence. The 44mm case diameter and black dial configuration offer a contemporary alternative within the Amvox2 range, providing automatic chronograph functionality in a steel sports watch format. The combination of size, materials, and dial treatment positions this reference for collectors focused on modern Jaeger LeCoultre sports complications.

My guess is that the number " 4 " is not a welcomed number in some countries... I will ask. Best, Nicolas

means death. But hey, JLC is french-Swiss identity. I would buy an Amvox 4 if it's a hit. Now the Amvox 5 got my heart racing, esp the limited editions.Damn, they are smart in marketing.

Looking at Nicolas' first picture of the ceramic/RG version I immediately had the feeling of looking at something I had seen before: The colour combination, the hands(!), the white numerals, the open dial. And then suddenly I knew: I must say the RG version appeals to me. Not that I would consider buying one, but: Well done! Best, Martin

An exciting day! JLC always holds something back from SIHH...which I think is a great strategy. And of course the timing of the announcement is very good. Well, you know I am in full agreement with you on the strength of combining a chronograph with the world time function. I wonder what the thickness is on this model. Did you mention an AMVOXV VI.....????? Thanks again for sharing the information and photos, as always. Best, respo
