It was communicated just minutes ago to the employees: Jean-Frédéric Dufour, current CEO, is going to leave Zenith in order to accept a new post as Directeur Générale at Rolex.

What is certainly the highest accolade a CEO can obtain in this industry, I makes me kind of sad but positively curious as to who will follow Mr Dufour.

More late here soon!
Magnus

What !?

Hope they find a suitable replacement. No disrespect, but if JCB decides not to replace, but run the show himself, I can't say I would be comfortable. JFD has done a tremendous job, not only by increasing sales, but also earning back the respect for the manufacture. Dean

I am not sure if JCB would be a wrong choice ...

... I think he very well knows how to handle a company tradition, but to also make it fit for the challenges of a modern business. Not that I have the impression that a lot has to be changed of the course steered by Dufour. Marcus

No doubt

I don't think anyone can doubt JCB's business acumen. I am more concerned that we might find Zenith signing on brand ambassadors left right and center, which will perhaps reflect in higher prices. They have already signed on some basketball player, and I hazard a guess that was JCB and not JFD's doing. And once they start signing on these sportsmen, the tendency might be to make bigger, louder watches for them to wear. No bling please ! Dean

Well, JCB did NOT do this with Blancpain...

plus, he is a 'certified' company transformation specialist, which I think is much more to his liking than running a perfectly sailing ship (LVMH as a whole)… We will see! Cheers, Magnus

That's sad news for us Zenith fans

He did a great job turning around Zenith IMO. He will be missed! And I wish him well in his new position at Rolex! Cheers, Anthony
