This poignant post from Emil Wojcik, later updated by his wife Janet, offers a rare glimpse into a collector's final acquisition and the deep personal connection between watches and life's most profound moments. It underscores how our shared passion for horology can create a supportive community, even in times of great sorrow. Emil's initial anticipation for a review of his new Jaquet Droz watch evolved into a testament to his enduring love for the hobby and the WatchProSite community.

I understand these are quite large in diameter. I have a book called The Watch. There are some amazing examples of their work. A minute repeater with a peacock automaton. A beautiful 24 hour dial "philosopher's" watch. Also a beautiful moonphase with date. I'll take some pictures later or tomorrow and post them. As long as I give credit to the source, that should be ok, yes?
