I’ve sold/given away watches that have been on my wrist when life or investing doesn’t go my way. It also biases what I where and under what circumstances. When it comes to Market Volatility and profits, my Reverso is my go to good luck.
I’ve been wearing this most of the year and it’s been great so far.

It’s screwing up my rotation but we’ve made money every day last week.

About the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Classic Medium Thin Ref. Q2538420

The Reverso stands as Jaeger-LeCoultre's most iconic creation, born from the practical demands of British polo players in colonial India during the 1930s. Originally conceived by César de Trey and engineered by René-Alfred Chauvot, the reversible case was designed to protect the crystal during matches. This Classic Medium Thin represents the purest expression of the original concept, maintaining the essential proportions and Art Deco sensibility that made the Reverso a design landmark.

The rectangular case proportions follow the golden ratio principles that defined the original 1931 design, with the signature gadroons providing both aesthetic appeal and functional grip for the flip mechanism. The black dial creates stark contrast against the polished steel case, emphasizing the clean geometric lines and Arabic numerals that echo the Art Deco period. The manual-winding movement reflects the traditional approach, requiring daily interaction that connects the wearer to the mechanical heritage of the piece.

Within Jaeger-LeCoultre's contemporary lineup, the Classic Medium Thin occupies the entry point for serious Reverso collectors, offering authentic design DNA without the complexity of complications found in higher-tier models. The steel case makes it accessible compared to precious metal variants, while the medium sizing appeals to modern wrist preferences. Recent market appreciation has been steady, driven by renewed interest in dress watches and the Reverso's unique position as both vintage design icon and contemporary timepiece.
