Hi All Inspired by Tomch post on the Cartier forum of his new Santos & saying zero scratches This is where you'll be in a few years

My Duo is covered in a myriad of tiny scratches - just shows how much wear it gets. When it comes back from whenever it's next service is I know it'll come back pretty much pristine & the process will start again. Enjoy the journeysmile Cheers JML Ps I hadn't realised how difficult it is to get anywhere near a half decent shot of the deployant. Never mind - you get the gist.

Signs of intense love. That gives stories and life to our watches.

Definitely - you could argue if it isn't scratched it hasn't lived :)

Long ago learnt the error of keeping things for best - whatever it is. Wear it & enjoy it. Cheers JML

When I see such watches, my heart skips a beat!

I’m happy to see the work and effort of those who built it being appreciated and rewarded!👍🏻

With you on that

If you're not going to wear it why buy it. Doesn't mean I don't look after it. Would never dig the garden or do DIY wearing it. Cheers JML

The patina of time and activity… I like it +++

There are, of course, some watches that don’t look good with scratches, but fortunately they are the exception rather than the rule.

I've got the same watch, and mine looks even worse!

By 'worse' I of course mean 'better'
