His detailed account and stunning photography invite readers to appreciate the subtle artistry of vintage watch revival and the enduring charm of smaller timepieces.

The restoration work looks superb. And you made the right decision to go for the dial restoration!! Congratulations for this wonderful piece of family history. Best, Gerard
I’m really impressed with the subtlety/delicacy of the restoration. Truly wonderful. Best, Emmanuel
I’m truly enchanted by this restoration. Best, Emmanuel
Congrats Emmanuel! The restoration is incredibly meticulous, credit to JLC for preserving the vintage parts in their inventory. The strap looks fantastic and pairs beautifully with the watch. What really stands out is the dial, JLC restored it, not replaced it. Or at least JLC did not insist to replace like some other manufacturers for vintage restoration. As for the size, 37mm works well for the vast majority. And we also see several brands introducing sub 40mm options in their lineups at W&W26
I absolutely LOVE it I genuinely find it hard to believe just how great it turned out to be! Every single detail looks immaculate, and paired with that sublime burgundy strap and buckle it makes the totality of the piece irresistible .... Supremely happy for you my friend, this wonderful watch has not only received a new lease on life, but it has now continued serving your family for generations, and I am confident it will continue in service to your family members for generations more.... Cheer
The restoration looks impeccable and the watch is perfectly sized and proportioned IMHO 👌🏻👍🏻 Now the Gondolo is getting some serious competition 😉👏🏻👍🏻
