For the 150th Anniversary of the brand, Jaeger Lecoultre decided to release one of the most elegant Watch from their past, the Triple Date moonphase. A Watch which was born in the 40ies, and which has been resurrected in... 1983, along with a few others, like a re edition of the Jacques Lecoultre 1949 Triple Date Moonphase with a slightly different case, though, and an Atmos.

Here the rectangular version ( Credit picture: Liveauctioneers ), limited to 600 pièces.

The Atmos 150th ( Credit picture: Antiquorum ), limited to 3000 pièces.

You will find the superb godron case, the not less elegant teardrop lugs, the beautiful dial, an example of balance.

I could take two pictures of this Watch which belongs to the Heritage Gallery collection.

I was told that those which were issued for the Anniversary had their case back engraved, bearing the mention of this event. This one doesn't have its case back engraved, as I could notice by myself. It houses the Cal 494 ( Vintage movement ).

36 mm of pure beauty, don't you think?

Best,

Nicolas

+1 on admiring these jewels.. Timeless beauties.. In part with a tint of extravaganza !..

.. alltogether, indeed my piece of cake ! And all these TD's, with teardrops are to be enjoyed, even including their less noble cousins, without the moonphase ! To me, one of the all-time bests, in the early days of JLC ! Thx for this compelling share ! Best, hs

.. and you so well know, that, same like you - I truly love those Teardrop- TD's !! The little Cousine.. DD only, but a bit 'l'air de famille' Meanwhile on my wife's wrist :)) - Dr Mamadu is probably always right (?) Best, dear friend, hs
