Nicolas (amanico) revisits the Jaeger-LeCoultre Tribute to Geophysic line, a collection he believes was discontinued too soon despite its potential. He prompts the community to weigh in on the platinum versus steel versions of the original Tribute, highlighting their distinct dials and movements. This discussion offers valuable insights into collector preferences for modern interpretations of a historic reference.

To me steel feels like the more appropriate metal for this particular watch....
The platinum for sure, and not just because of the weight, but I like the simple layout of the dial!. Just simple and striking when worn. Both however are stunning mind you!
which is true to the original, is cleaner and thus more appealing ....
but the budget whispers "steel." Still hope to add one of these someday...
Would be nice to have something waterproof (100m), with a screw down crown, shockproof and in a small, versatile package in the 36-39mm range, do they even have anything like that in the line up?
But I’ll take the steel version. I’ve always liked the symmetry that the lines give.
