For those of you who couldn't make it down to the South Coast Plaza the other night, here's a quick roundup of what turned out to be a perfect evening, rife with beautiful watches, beautiful people and beautiful food. Wow, that's a lot of beauty. The highlight was spending a little time with our favorite Purist, "Amanico".

Nicolas is a proud JLC ambassador who spent a good portion of the evening showing off the new Duometre UTT. Okay, so he also spent a little time drinking champagne, but that's another matter all together.

JLC's Duometre Unique Travel Time

Our gracious hosts, also known as the Jaeger-LeCoultre Wunderkind, shared their philosophies behind the brand's current marketing efforts. We got to see the new Perpetual Calendar (sorry, no picture), which will sell for just under 20 grand. This is significant because traditionally PC's have always run in the 80 to 100 grand range. We also got to see the amazingly razor thin Master in platinum (again sorry, no picture). At 41mm's, it doubles as a pizza cutter.

If you haven't been down to the South Coast Plaza JLC boutique, I strongly recommend a visit. The store is fantastic and in keeping with the grand Richemont tradition, the Vacheron Constantine and IWC boutiques are inter-connected.

Thank you so much for writing such a nice report, my friend.

It took us a long time before being able to meet, and finally, we were able to do so during a great event. I was thinking about something,: Generally, WE give our feed back on an event, but WE never read a feed back from the brands. I can tell you that the whole JLC Team was deeply impressed by the level of knowledge, passion, and friendship of our Group. I was really pleased to meet you. We had great moments. And, by the way, I should learn how to dial an US Cell Number. ;) Scott, see you soon?

It was an honor and a privilege...

... to spend the evening with you, my friend. I agree. As Purists we tend to be a very knowledgable AND opinionated lot. It's no wonder the Jaeger-LeCoultre folks were as impressed with our group as we were with theirs. Finally meeting my dear friend in person was the highlight of the evening. Thanks so much for making the trip over to the states. It would seem we are both all thumbs when it comes to dialing each other's mobile phones. I must learn how to call a French cell phone at some point.
