BMR's quest for a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso, specifically weighing the Tribute Moon against the Tribute Duo, highlights a common dilemma for collectors: choosing between compelling complications and classic aesthetics. This discussion offers valuable insights into the nuances of these models, particularly their wearability and design details, helping potential owners make an informed decision.

I have long been an admirer of the Reverso, and I’ve gotten close to adding one on several occasions but went another direction ultimately. I’m at a place where I’d really like to acquire one in the next year or so, but I’ll admit that I don’t know as much about these as I’d like to in order to make a well-informed decision. I’m hoping that you all may be able to help me with that.

Of the current offerings, I find myself attracted to the Tribute Moon and the Tribute Duo. I really like the blue touches on both of these pieces. I have to say that I like the moon phase and date on the Tribute Moon, but I prefer the back side of the Duo model a little better. It is more subtle to me, but having not seen either of these in the metal, I’m only going off of my impression from viewing them on my computer screen.

For those of you steeped in Reverso knowledge, I’d like to get your take. What current offer intrigues you the most and why? Perhaps is there a model I should be looking at pre-owned. Stated differently, if you were in my shoes looking to add your first Reverso, which reference would you seek?

my first watch was the tribute duo, bought around 3 years ago to celebrate our first baby, and I can tell you that it's my favorite one now (I have pulled the trigger on several others since then). It's size is unique, for someone like me with a tiny wrist... I really LOVE the new one with the moonphase but it is bigger and too big for my wrist. The blue is really nice and the blue strap too. both sides are really nice and I like to be able to flip them from time to time - somehow it's like havi

The sizes between the offerings are quite different and people tend to have a preference. The tribute pieces you are looking at a on the large size. I have a complet calendar Moonphase, which is slightly smaller and thinner. Here's mine:

I essentially have the same size wrist as you. I hadn’t noticed from the specs that these two pieces weren’t the same size. I had just assumed they were, but I appreciate you correcting that for me. I am happy to hear that you are still so delighted with your Duo. I hope to find a nearby AD that I can visit to try this one in the metal. Thanks again for your feedback!
