amanico shares a captivating preview of an upcoming retrospective article on six Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Rose Gold models produced between 1991 and 2000. This initial post features a striking image of the Reverso Chronographe Rétrograde, setting the stage for a deeper exploration of this historically significant series from the Manufacture's Heritage Gallery.

At the Manufacture, I asked the Heritage Gallery to put the whole series aside, for a photo session of the 6 Reverso Rose gold made between 1991 and 2000, in the perspective of a retrospective article about them.

They kindly accepted.

The article is in works, but the pleasure is already here, summed by this picture.

This series is incredible. Let me first close all the topics I have to post, and then, I will come back to this fantastic Saga.

Best,

Nicolas

I saw this in the metal and is really stunning. One of the few cronos with a square caliber. I read the history somewhere and it was not easy to create. Part of the 500 series of beautiful watches. Great watch to wear, rarely seen and with great understatement.

from the rose gold movement plates and bridges to the double-sided complications which paved the way for the Duoface, one of JLC's longest-running hits. The tourbillon was amazing, the repeater with non-circular gongs was unbelievable because the sonority ended up being pretty good, despite the non-circle. The geographic made possible much of the current double faced Reversos, and the QP produced the thinnest perpetual calendar module ever made by any brand - if I recall correctly. What amazes m

As for the Gran Sport Chrono, it was expensive to produce, but also to buy! I heard the same rumor about the fact that JLC lost money on it. I even think it is because of " him " than the Reverso à Chronograph in rose gold never overcame the " success of esteem ". How exciting this Saga was! Best, Dean. Nicolas

When you consider the mechanical watch landscape in 1996, this must have been a truly exceptional watch at the time. In house chronograph movements were rare and this one is a one-off configuration, featuring a retrograde minutes counter and a layout that is uniquely tailored to the Reverso case. Compared to the later Reverso Squadras, this watch is playing in a different class. Even today, the Reverso line doesn't have a similar watch. The OG version has held up fantastically well over the past
