I saw this in the metal and is really stunning. One of the few cronos with a square caliber. I read the history somewhere and it was not easy to create. Part of the 500 series of beautiful watches. Great watch to wear, rarely seen and with great understatement.

As for the Gran Sport Chrono, it was expensive to produce, but also to buy! I heard the same rumor about the fact that JLC lost money on it. When you consider the mechanical watch landscape in 1996, this must have been a truly exceptional watch at the time. In house chronograph movements were rare and this one is a one-off configuration, featuring a retrograde minutes counter and a layout that is uniquely tailored to the Reverso case. Compared to the later Reverso Squadras, this watch is playing in a different class. Even today, the Reverso line doesn't have a similar watch.
