My dear Friends, Mates,
it is a beautiful day for my little watch family: the Queen has arrived and took her position on the throne!
Let me tell you the winter tale:
1. The Background
There is a small town in the Neighbourhood, which has an even smaller Jewellery shop. But in this shop there are incredible hidden treasures, which are lying for years and years of the drawers, corners, sometimes in the shop window.
I am like and adventurer and explorer: I always find an interesting treasure, a piece of art every time when I visit the Family. Yes, the Family, because a whole Family leads the Jewellery Shop for over 30 years.
I found this little Reverso there years ago but it took some time to decide to bring her to my own little Family.
Why? Because I have a very interesting and strange connection with the Reversos.
2. Me and the Reversos
I get my first Reverso around 6 years ago, she was quite a long time in my collection, but I wore it very, very rare.
It was the Grande Date with the 8 days movement:
I remember still well what I thought when I received the watch: oh men, it is not mine! I always appreciated the history and the technique of the watch, but it was uncomfortable, I found the case too long ( Grande! ) and not enough wide, the proportions were not very well balanced, at least for my eyes and my taste.
Despite of these facts, the Grande Date stayed in my collection and suddenly appears another Reverso in the Horizont:
And it was a LOVE! Very well balanced watch, beautiful guilloched centre of the dial, and the second ( Duo ) face:
A die for!
Unfortunately the love lasts not too long: I traded these two Reversos for my very first Lange, the 1815 Gangreserve:
Meanwhile came a Monster also to my Reverso Family:
The Reverso Squadra Worldtimer Chrono in titanium, here with the worldtimer-side.
I liked the watch and worn it often in the summertime with a Hirsch rubber strap, but as it used to be, the love was over, and I traded the watch after two years ownership for a Lange1.
And there was also one more Reverso in my collection:

I liked and wore the watch more than my Grande Date, despite of the fact that the two watches has the same size. It was more comfortable to wear, due to the very comfortable bracelet!
And it looked also very-very nice on a strap:
As usually, I traded the watch together with 2 Zenith watches for a gold Iwc Portugieser F.A. Jones.
3. The Queen
After realising that I donโt have any Reversos in my collection, I remembered THAT one in the small town at the small family-owned Jewellery. I hoped that she is still there! The rest is history...
The Sun&Moon Reverso in white gold is quite rare, I think it is more rare than the rose gold version. Please note that the watch is out of production for more than 10 years, and my Queen was still virgin when I found her!
Let me introduce you her Majesty in details:
A. The Dial
Well, it is quite busy! Reserve de Marche, Night and Day, Moonphase, little second, and the printings..
BUT! I find everything in harmony, because everything can be placed in the middle of the dial! I like the deep rich black and the contrasting white numerals!
Very delicated detail: the โlittleโ 11, a wise solution not to cut or leave away the number!
B. The Movement
Well, the movement is - of course! - a handwounded one, beautifully decorated with geneva stripes, blued screws and it has fine adjustment-possibility.
Note the perlage of the backside of the case:
3. The case
Perfect size for a Reverso, very sophisticated and traditional, sharp angles. It is from solid whitegold, also the deployant buckle! Not too heavy and very comfortable to wear.
4. Impression: Reverso and Florals
5. First wristshots
6. The End
As I picked up the Queen, I found some other interesting treasures in the hidden drawers of the little Jewellery shop. Note that all watches - including my Queen - are NEW and UNUSED, laying sometimes for more over 20 years there!
Here are some impressions, lighting conditions are not the best, but the watches:
A wonderful black dialed rose gold Reserve de Marche, 37 mm, perfect size:
An old Master Moon in Platinum, 37 mm, blue dial, hunter caseback:

A limited PanomaticGangreserve with black dial, platinum case:

A wonderful 1845 Auf&Ab with Moonphase, from the pre-SWATCH GROUP-Era:

Another Master Moon, now in white gold, also 37 mm, hunter caseback:

At the end, of course, also a long time discontinued Reverso:
My Mates, believe me, it is like a PARADISE!
I hope you enjoyed to read my little novel and the pictures!
Yours and have a nice weekend,
Adam
P. S. I have found and reserved my next watch there! Guess what was it...
