Baron - Mr Red, a well-known Rolex moderator, reveals his unexpected passion for Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso watches, playfully calling it his "dirty little secret." This post explores his extensive Reverso collection, highlighting the model's versatility and the unique appeal that led him to acquire multiple pieces for himself and his family. His candid sharing offers a relatable look into how a collector's tastes can evolve beyond their primary focus.

I own 7 Sea_dwellers. There....said it. Out in the open. But then, the Rolex Sea-Dweller is my favourite reference within Rolex. Especially the vintage Sea-Dweller. And, since I am the Rolex Moderator, there is only pride in loving it this way!

What I didn't realise was just how close I am, in terms of ownership, of beating 7 from an entirely different manufacturer. This is my "dirty little secret."

It looks so innocent when closed...Pandora's Box

How did this happen? I honestly just don't know.

From left to right.....first two for my son....Gran Sport Chrono.....in my view possibly one the very coolest Reversos

Steel quartz...my very first Reverso...gifted to my son now

My wife's...Duetto

And my wife's Plat No. 1

Of course....my Rouge

And my Retrograde

How does it happen? It is the curse of the Reverso....you buy one and before you know it, there is a need for another. Then, your family see it and they love them...so they become gifts too....and before you know, its totally out of control!!

There...I have come clean...I have opened my secret....I am a Reverso Addict.

Impressive collection, my dear Joe! Among them, there is one which calls me for a long time, now. The Gransport Chronograph. I am waving between the white and the black dialed versions. T Swiss Made T dial, for me. But definitely one I will get. Totally Under appreciated. Totally cool. Totally horological. Superb, my friend. Really superb. Bravo! Do you have more in your scope? Best, Nicolas

The Reverso is "moorish" because it is so versatile. To be honest, when i have my Retrograde on, it gets more compliments from people than ANY other watch I own. It looks fantastic and has the capacity to sit at ease in most circumstances. On the GranSport Chrono....I have to agree...it is one the very coolest Reverso.....i would go dark on dial.

Because the early versions are quite tough to find, and they add a sublte but very warm patina which sings to my heart. Mechanically speaking, it is not a joker, it is a Watch which should deserve much more interest AND affection. We are speaking of a manual winding and in house chronograph, here... Will post a review on it. I give myself one year to find the one I am looking for. Best, Nicolas

.. those Reversos have their own spell, I trust ! As per your secret : You (vice versa) reminded me.. on my own JLC base vs my (humble) Rolex tic-tacs: About the same ratio, just inverse... Best, my friend ! hs
