Nicolas (amanico) presents a compelling visual comparison of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Calendar in steel and rose gold, highlighting how case material profoundly influences a watch's character. His observations invite readers to consider the subtle yet significant aesthetic transformations within a single reference, a crucial aspect for collectors evaluating modern and vintage-inspired timepieces.

Funny how the same watch has a different character.

In steel, very modern,

Slightly more " Retro " in rose gold.

The funny thing is that for the no date fan I am, I have a lot of love for the Reverso Date. A timeless classic, which could have been born in the 50th, or right now.

Best,

Nicolas

Completely agree that it changes caracter with different case materials. Although IMO that goes for many watches.

I seem to recall a whole spate of Reverso complications around the time this was produced. The black dialed version is also great, especially with its display back. Though I still marginally prefer these versions with the minute railtrack. Cheers JML

Re. 'modern', I'd just love to see some more touches of Art Deco on their timepieces. That's where they really get my attention.

And nicely sized too; roughly GT dimensions? Also, how does the RG weight compare with the steel weight?
