Nicolas (amanico) introduces the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute To Alfons Mucha, a limited edition series that pays homage to the Art Nouveau master. His post delves into the design choices, material variations, and the artistic execution of these unique Reverso pieces. This article captures the essence of his initial impressions and the visual splendor of these horological tributes.
Three pieces unveiled last fall... Three new objects of desire.
Take a Reverso Tribute Case, whose dimensions are 45, 5 x 27, 4 mm and 9, 7 mm high...
Choose three seasons, and please don't ask me we don't have the fourth one... I wondered, but didn't find the answer.
Here Jaeger Lecoultre opted for Spring, and one of the two yellow gold case, the one with the light brown dial, Summer and the white gold case and its superb blue dial, and the last season, fall, with the second yellow gold case coming with the tobacco dial.
Here they are:
Spring:

Summer:

Autumn:

And now, the firework, the three all together:

Among these three, there are two recto dials which literally fascinate me: The White Gold Blue Enamel Guilloché, and the Yellow Gold Tobacco Enamel Guilloché. There are pure beauties, an example of magnificent depth.
Add warmth for the Tobacco, and a striking contrast for the Blue.
I am less fan of the verso, I must confess, even teach of them is beautifully executed, but this is not my kind of Art.
Paint, Sculpture, yes, they are pure objects of Art. But this comes at a price, without forgetting rarity, as each of them is available in a limited edition of 8 pieces.
Let's end with the movement, the well know manual winding Cal 822.
I dream of one with the guilloché enamel on the recto, only, with a plain verso.
Especially the Blue and the Tobacco!
Best,
Nicolas
