Christianch's personal reflection on the Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso 1931 Seconde Centrale offers a unique perspective on a less commonly seen reference. His insights into its automatic movement and boutique-only availability highlight why this particular Reverso stands out, even within an extensive collection. This article explores the nuances of a watch that challenges traditional Reverso expectations while maintaining its distinct appeal.

Since I saw the announcement I was in love with the Grande Reverso 1931 Seconde Centrale. I bought  6 years ago and due to a too extensive collection I didn't wear it as much but I plan to wear it more now that it left the safe!

Among the Grande Reverso re-editions this was the only one with an automatic movement and centre seconds. I know that to some a reverso has to be manual wind, but for me this is just very special.

It was made in white gold only so perhaps is not often seen. It was also a boutique only edition.

To me this is *by far* the best dial of any of the Tribute Reversos. Have to admit I'm not keen on an automatic movement in a Reverso, but I'd get over it for this one.

I love the fact that it’s automatic too, makes it all very unique

I only have the 976 which is manual and I know the pain of remembering to wind

were producted but I have seen very few. The boutique had only 1 when I bought it in 2015 and soon after it was no longer on the website.

all the omega speedmasters with rare exceptions are very tough to wind. Very unpleasant (beside forgetting to wind it)
