Nicolas (amanico) captivates readers with a striking image of a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute to 1931 Rouge against a Ferrari wheel, sparking a discussion on the model's enduring appeal. His post delves into how the TTR 1931, particularly the red-dialed variant, expanded the Reverso's audience by offering a more casual yet elegant aesthetic. The community's responses highlight the watch's unique charm and its ability to convert new enthusiasts.

Take a Borrani Wheel... A Wheel I found on a Ferrari 330.

If I say Red, where do you tjink it should be on a Ferrari Wheel?

Brake Caliper?

Not really!

I so much love this photo!

While looking at it, I was thinking that the TTR 1931, whatever the color of the dial, became, since its introduction ( almost 4 years, now! ) the most popular Reverso.

It expanded the audience on this Watch.

I remember that, during the 2011 SIHH, I met some friends of mine who used to love different brands, and who immediately fell in love with the TTR 1931, the black dialed one, at this moment.

What is your opinion, here?

Best,

Nicolas

What a superb picture Nicolas! This has to be one of my all time favourite. You have taken one of my favorite brands (Ferrari) and combined it with not only one of my favorite watch brands (JLC) but one of my favorite lines of watches (Reverso). Proves one again - that we have very much the same taste. Splendid watch. Each time I see those colored lacquer dials- I like them more and more! Best Edmond

I walked into the JLC Boutique yesterday for the third time to check out the Rouge. I am so very tempted, but keep telling myself I need to slow down my watch buying frenzy this year, especially since I am not working these days. The Ferrari, well lets just say it won't happen anytime soon unless I move to the States or UK where prices are reasonable..... You are dangling a very tempting carrot in front of me, and for this, I don't know whether to say thanks, or just stop reading your posts ! Th

THIS picture is a real nifty idea, Just a little risky when the wheel starts spinning.. Like our brain, ideas and heart go in cyclic rhythm, at certain times What a nice way to prove afficionados can make things turn.. Best, my triple- numbered friend, ;) hs

A wonderful picture! And you are absolutely right. The Ultra Thin Tributes indeed extends the audience of the Reverso. I am the best proof to myself that this is true :-) To me one of the most striking thoughts about the TTR is that on one hand its Ultra Thin form it is certainly one of the most elegant Reversos ever built. While on the other hand the Tribute dials point into a much more casual and sporty direction. I had to see the Rouge before I knew which Reverso I had been waiting for all th
