Amanico provides an exclusive preview of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso Ultra Thin 1931 "Chocolate" ahead of SIHH 2014, offering early insights into a highly anticipated release. His detailed observations, including a subtle anachronism in the model's naming, underscore the depth of knowledge valued by the WatchProSite community. This piece highlights JLC's strategic blend of heritage and contemporary appeal, particularly with its striking color combination.

That is a Watch I couldn't see in the metal because it was several thousands kilometers away when I was at the Manufacture, but I can't resist to the pleasure to share with you, in avant première, this beauty from the 2014 collection, one month before the SIHH.

One observation on the name of this Watch: There is a small anachronism, here, when it is called G.R.U.T 1931, as the small seconds came a bit after, in 1934, to be precise.

Anyway, this marvel will catch some hearts, without doubts.

The rose gold case, combined to the chocolate dial, is just eye catching.

This is not, from what I have been told a limited edition ( at the moment I write these lines ).

The case has the same dimensions than a TT R 1931 Black or Red or Silver: 46, 8 x 27, 4 x 7, 3 mm.

The movement is the Cal 822 / 2 ( /2 because of the inertia variable balance Wheel, instead of the index adjustement rate ), which beats at 21600 vibrations per hour, manual winding, and offering a power reserve of 45 hours.

The strap, as shown on the picture, is made by Fagliano, a superb Brown Cordovan. But there will be another strap which will be offered for free with this Watch ,a matte Brown alligator.

No folding buckle, but pin, made in 18 Kt Gold.

So you are becoming convinced in color gold :) There is only one thing I would prefer more to have Reverso written under 12 not above seconds subdial Thank you for news in advance Best Damjan

Elegance. Pure, non-bling, even the gold case show class, high class. Never had a gold watch but this one breaks this rule. Add to that, the mandatory (IMHO) running seconds. Finally the strap. To die for. Thank you for showing this one. Cheers, Nilo

and the thumbnails.......I might add another JLC to my collection:)...... Yes,Jlc is playing safe ...the formula is right, the hearts are won! They could release a new Reverso a year with all the colours of the rainbow and they will go like hotcakes! Careful not to have too many i suspect in order to avoid a "swatch collection"effect, but this one....a winner...Rose gold case .brown dial....not difficult..its a winner! Mo

I prefere that outfit much more than black/silver/white dials on white metal (I mean for the Reverso oc). It is warm, elegant and original. Perfect for casual week-end wearing. Thanks for sharing Nicolas. Cheers, Mark
