Well,I am going public,I am coming out…..this is my new obsession.
As i mentioned a few days back, there are at least 3 if not 4 watches from 2014 JLC collection I could sweat blood and tears about and add them to my collection.

This new QL 40.5 enamel dial is at the top of the list.

I already own a QL,I love it ,really do,but there is something about this new QL that has some magic…..

1)that lunar disc is to die for,in my QL its the weak point of the watch, its a tad…cheap compared to the rest of the watch.
2)the enamel dial is to die for….
3)the southern hemisphere indication is left out, giving the dial a purer look, turning the watch into a real moon phase only.
4)the design/colour combination is superb, those red accents are incredibly sexy, those grey hands are incredibly beautiful.
5)I am in trouble…..seriously..

Nevertheless there are 2 points that I would change on this watch
1)"Gran feu"lettering  on the moon phase….please no no,I hope the real watch won t have this script,I don't like this sort of writing(repetition minutes, tourbillon, gran feu etc…..)I don t like the watch telling me what it is,If I buy it I know WHY I buy it…its a bit….cheap.
2) I would have liked a platinum case.

Here is a scan of an article I just found…….can you spot the mistakes in the text?At least they seem mistakes to me.

that the Chronograph was the first version, and the Lunaire was using the technology in a new way. Is that what you were looking at? -Dean

on all strengths and weaknesses of this watch and you said it perfectly no need for all that writing on a watch telling what it is turns out really cheap but then maybe we are not general population regarding that issues :) Best D

As for platinum case, well, I much prefer in white gold, since a platinum case would cost 10 K Euros more! :) As for the mistake, the temperature of the firing? I heard 800 to 820°. Best, Nicolas

1)In this case the watch does not give you the indication for the southern hemisphere…. 2)The dial rings and numerals are painted?????mmmmmm I think they are printed…..IF everything was hand painted..well…Kudos,but I doubt it. Mo
