Nicolas (amanico) shares an official image of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Geographic World Time, a watch that remains a strong contender for his collection. He highlights its distinctive smoke blue dial and considers it a worthy exception to his preference for alarm-equipped Polaris models. This post invites the community to appreciate the design and discuss its unique features.

One of the rare official picture which is not bad...

Of a watch which is still in my head as a potential cool addition in my collection. Even if the contender is higher in my list, the Geophysic UT.

But I like this smoke blue dial a lot, and I find that this Polaris is one of the worthy exception to my rule that a Polaris SHOULD be an alarm watch.

Best,
nicolas

I love the balance of

the subdials. The new geographic has a power reserve indicator which “overextends” itself to alter the balance of the sub dials. That is not lost in this iteration.

Agreed; not a bad shot. But tell me, dear Nicolas, does the dial between 8:30-11:00 allow the second time zone to be set ahead or back by 1/4 hr. increments? If so, Wow! FH [nt]

No, it is the power reserve. [nt]
