featuring the Salam Center, a cardiac hospital built and operated by the international humanitarian organization, EMERGENCY

Jaeger-LeCoultre, a reference in Swiss fine watchmaking, and EMERGENCY have an organic relationship that started in 2011 with a charitable action of a "Reverso for EMERGENCY Jaeger- LeCoultre helped the Salam Center", then in 2012 Jaeger-LeCoultre supported the EMERGENCY maternity center in Afghanistan. Both actions have been held during the Venice Film Festival, where Jaeger-LeCoultre is the official partner, with the support of talents.

In 2011, Jaeger-LeCoultre financed ten operations at the Salam Center, the center for heart surgery opened by EMERGENCY in Khartoum, Sudan, for children and adults suffering from heart diseases. Since 2007, the Salam Center has been offering highly specialized assistance to patients suffering from cardiac pathologies who would not otherwise get a chance to be operated free of charge. A Reverso watch was engraved by Jaeger-LeCoultre with the symbol of the Salam Center in lacquer: a red heart. A hand on the heart, that of an artist, walking the red carpet of the Venice Film Festival, was a symbol of personal support for the Salam Center project.

In 2012, Jaeger-LeCoultre donated towards the maternity hospital opened by EMERGENCY in Anabah, Afghanistan. a country where the health of mothers and their children is an urgent daily concern. In support of the project, the talents joining the humanitarian action walked the red carpet in Venice holding a rose and wearing a Jaeger-LeCoultre's Reverso watch engraved with a symbol of the action. The watches were then sold and the proceeds were entirely donated to EMERGENCY in order to help fund the center.

There is no Jaeger Lecoultre Boutique in Kharthoum nor is there one in Kabul. Now, yes there is a JLC in Kharthoum which is part of the United Nation and stands for Joint Logistics Centre. The one in Kabul stands for Joint Logistics Command. I have no proof that Mr Jerome Lambert is the Commander!:) Cheers. Francois
