In this insightful post, n0wjsti shares his journey acquiring one of his top three watches from Watches & Wonders 2023, a Jaeger-LeCoultre Chronograph. He details the year-long deliberation and the immediate strap modification he undertook to personalize the timepiece, offering a candid look at the collector's experience with a highly anticipated release. His detailed photographs provide a rare glimpse into the watch's aesthetic appeal, addressing the scarcity of quality images online.

For me, one of the top 3 from W&W 2023, but given its price, it took me some deliberation.

Well, we're close to W&W 2024 now and my local JLC boutique gave me "the call". I knew that I did not want to wear the watch on the factory 22mm straight strap, so decided to pair it with a CTS rubber strap that tapers to 18mm. I think it is wonderful now. Its only been a few days so I can't say just how much I like it yet (waiting nearly a year will dampen any mood, I suppose), so let's see how it goes. In the meantime, I know which watch will be on my wrist for the next week or two...

...with its size. A common complaint I've received from many friends so far. Luckily, I have the wrist for it.

And it seems chrono on rubber works well together! ;-)
